Persoonani? Värikäs? 

Tiedän, tämä päähänpinttymä (muistat ehkä, kun tämä alkoi ihan parilla hassulla) alkaa lähteä käsistä. En lupaa lopettaa. Huomaa sininen, joka jo sai värin nro kaksi ylleen, kun edellinen oli liian vaalea.

Suosikeikseni ovat nousseet taka-alalla oleva turkoosi korkea sekä tuo oranssin värin pintaansa saanut uusin hankinta. Ehkä niillekin vielä kavereita metsästetään...

My personality? Colourful?

I know, this obsession (you may remember when it got started with just a couple) for the candle holders is getting out of hand. I won't promise to stop. Note the blue one in the front that received a new colour as the previous just didn't work.

My favourites of these are the tall turquoise one and the new one that received a coat of orange. So maybe a few more of their friends are still required...

Meri on niin kaunis. Ja siellä muutama lintu uiskenteli ohitseni.


The sea is just so beautiful. A number of birdies swam past. 

   

Olimme työporukalla meren rannalla kokonaisen päivän uuden organisaation käynnistelyssä. Päivä oli kaunis (vaikka ei kovin lämmin ollutkaan) ja meri tyyni. Jos ei tällaisessä ympäristössä käynnisty, niin missä?


Our work group spent a day by the sea getting started with our new organisational structure. The day was beautiful and the sea calm. This sort of a setting should get any structure up and running, right?

En usko, että olen koskaan aiemmin tehnyt tätä. Toki olen värjännyt itse hiuksiani aiemmin, mutta en koskaan aiemmin ole kampaajakäyntien välissä "parannellut" kampaajan laittamaa väriä. Ennenkuin nyt (mutta vain koska S sanoi, että se on ok ja antoi vielä värinkin, jolla tehdä se). Sininen vain ei pysy riittävän hyvin. 


I don't think I have ever done it before. I have died my hair myself before, sure. But I have not "refreshed" a colour my hairdresser has dyed for me. So truly unusual, almost unique. But blue just does not stick long enough.

Apparently there is a new restaurant opening in Helsinki.

Barcelonan reissulta mukaan tarttui iPadille uusi suojus Agatha Ruiz De La Prada:lta. Siinä on paljon värejä ja hyvä toppaus etenkin näytön puolelle.


This I got from Barcelona: a new cover for iPad by Agatha Ruiz De La Prada. Lot's of colour and well padded especially for the screen.

Lohenpunaista nyt pinkkinä (koska englanniksi väittävät sen olevan pinkkiä). Illalliseksi spagettia ja lohikastiketta kotimaisilla miniluumutomaateilla ja basilikalla. Nam!


Salmon is pink, right? For dinner, spagetti with salmon, mini cherry tomatoes, basil... Yum!

Mietin todella pitkään, mikä olisi jotain sellaista, jota ilman en voi elää, mutta ei liian vakavaa päätyäkseen tänne blogiin. Sitten aloittelin uuden keijukaispuutarhan. Ja siitähän se sitten aukeni. Eli jos en millään tavalla pääsisi purkamaan "askarteluviettiäni", en tiedä, voisinko elää.


For a really long time I thought what could this be: something I could not live without but not too deep to go into this blog. Then I started working on the new fairy garden. And it came to me. Something I could not live without would be some sort of an outlet for my creative urges. If I could not put that energy into something tangible, I don't know I would be able to live. 

Mutta oli kuitenkin lipsahtaa vakavan puolelle. Siispä asiaan. Tästä taitaa tulla myös osallistumispostaukseni Fairy Garden Contest - 2012 - kilpaan. Keijuilla on pikku nuotiopiiri, mutta huomaattehan, että ovat tuoneet polttopuiden lisäksi sangollisen vettä mukanaan: Keijuthan ovat varovaisia tulen kanssa, metsäpalo olisi kamala!


Almost got serious there. Never mind. This May Photo a Day post is also my post for the Fairy Garden Contest - 2012. The Fairies are of course careful with fire: not only did they bring the firewood with them but a bucket of water to make sure there is no accidents with the fire, they are after all in a forest. 


Ottakaahan osaa keijukisaan, vielä on hyvää aikaa! There's plenty of time getting your own fairy garden finished and entered into the contest!

Tämä olikin vaikeampi. Olisin tahtonut jatkaa "tänään otettu kuva" linjalla, mutta en keksinyt, minkä paikan kuvaisin. Kun muutin taktiikkaa, enää piti keksiä, minkä kuvan käyttäisin. Ja tähän päädyttiin. Öinen Lontoo. Huokaus.


This one was tricky. Would have liked to stuck with the "photo taken today"-approach to this challenge, but struggled with what would be the favourite place. Therefore, I changed tack. Here's my all-time favourite. London. Sigh.

Ehkä jotain mitä olen tehnyt on vähän enemmän kuin mitä tälle tänään tein, mutta olkoot. Eli tavallinen Pentikin varjostin, joka yleensäkin pukeutuu johonkin meidän taloudessa, riisui tänään keltaisen pitsimekkonsa ja sai ylleen näitä Lappuliisasta leikeltyjä palasia.


Maybe it's a lot to say this is my "something I made" but here it is anyway. SO a perfectly normal lampshade which useally wears something in this house, just took of her yellow lace dress to wear these circles cut from Lappuliisa.

Tuota askarrellessa pääsin myös ensimmäistä kertaa kokeilemaan Klaus Haapaniemi-saksiani! :)


This also gave me the chance to try out my new Klaus Haapaniemi scissors! :)

Rakastan tuoreita marjoja. Viime aikoina olen fiilistellyt kesän tuloa karhunvatukoilla, pensasmustikoilla ja mansikoilla. Eilen löysin ensimmäiset kotimaiset mansikat! Ja ah, miten ihanalta se maistui!


I love fresh berries. Yesterday I found the first Finnish ones. And they taste wonderful!

Olen niin jäljessä haasteessani! Viikko hulluutta rauhoittui onneksi tällä vapaapäivällä ja sitä seuraavalla lomapäivällä ja sitten jo onkin viikonloppu.


Äitini rakastaa leikkokukkia (omena, puu, putoaminen...) ja siksi noutaessani äitienpäiväksi hirmuista kukkakimppua, samalla matkaan lähti itselleni sekä äidille tällaiset kukanvarsiveitset. Täydellistä jälkeä pitäisi tulla, maltan tuskin odottaa, että pääsen testaamaan!


I'm so behind in my challenge! A week of madness is luckily cooling down with a national holiday and a day off after that.


My mum loves fresh flowers and that's why I bought this little tool for and myself when I went to pick up the flowers for Mother's Day. Can't wait to try it, apparently it will be the perfect tool for any flower stem.

Oletko huomannut eron mielialassa aurinkoisena aamuna? Minä olen usein pannut merkille, että sateisen jakson jälkeen tuleva aurinkoinen aamu herättää huomaamaan, että hei tänäänhän on paljon parempi aamu! Ja auringonlaskut sitten... ne vain ovat niin kauniita! Olin niin iloinen, kun aurinko tuli esiin iltapäivällä!


Have you noticed a difference in your mood in the morning if the sun is shining? I have. I love the sun for the light. And sunset... they just are so lovely! I was so pleased when the sun came out in the afternoon!
