Olimme eilen vieraina Minni-pippaloissa. 2,5 v. sankarin mielestä Minni on parasta sitten viipaloidun leivän, joten äitinsä oli hoidellut kaiken viimeisen päälle! Itse juhlista ei kuvia tässä, mutta tein juhliin pesto-feta-sämpyläbostonin. Sämpylätaikina siis tehdään ihan tavalliseen tapaan, esim. kuten tässä ohjeessa. Sitten korvapuustien tapaan kaulitaan levyksi ja levitetään pestoa ja fetamurua pintaan ja kieritetään rullalle. Leikkaa viipaleiksi ja sijoittele soveltuvaan malliin, tässä hain Minnin pään muotoa, mutta uunipelti jäi vähän pieneksi ja muoto kärsi (jos se nyt alunperinkään oli kovin autenttinen :) Edellisellä kerralla tähtäimenä oli neliapila St. Patrick's Day-juhliin. Lopuksi vielä voitelu kananmunalla ja uuniin (200 astetta)!
Yesterday we went to a Minnie Mouse party. The 2,5 year old thinks Minnie rocks so her mum had made sure everything was Minnied. No pictures of the party itself here, but I made a bread Minnie to the party and the top picture is of that. I made the bread dough just as usual, like in this recipe. Then you roll the dough (a flat square) and then top it with pesto and feta. Once that's done, roll the dough square to a roll and cut 3 cm wide slices. Place slides on the side and form a shape with the connected roll slices. Here I obviously aimed at the shape of Minnie's head but it takes a little interpretation to see it... Just like the St. Patrick's Day-party clover did. When all that's finished, brush with egg and bake in the oven at 200 celsius.
Jotta sovelluin Minni-juhlijaksi, mietin kynsien laittoa, ehkä jotain Rakkaus kynsiin-blogin Minnie Manicure-tyyppistä. Minulla ei kuitenkaan olisi ollut mitään soveltuvia lakkoja tuon tekoon, joten päätin sitten mennä helpon kautta. Ostin tarrat, jotka liimataan kynnelle. Konseptina ihan kätevät, ei ehkä niin kätevät laittaa esim. vasemmalla kädellä itse omaan oikeaan käteen. Jälki oli kyllä ihan tasaista, mutta etenkin oikeaan käteen todella hankala saada oikeaan kohtaan suoraan. Ilman päälluslakkaa kestivät hyvin juuri tuon pippaloiden keston verran, en tiedä olisiko nämä voinut lakata ja saada ne siten pysymään paremmin?
In order for me to be a proper Minnie Mouse-partyer, I thought I'd do something about my nails, perhaps like the Minnie Manicure at Rakkaus kynsiin-blog. I just didn't have any of the polishes required so I went the easy way and just bought stickers. I have to say they did not seem easy to place on the right hand nails with your left hand and the lasted just long enough to get through the party but that's really all that I needed anyway.
